Coulter – Tug for sale
58 m/190 ft
East Midlands, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom.
Echo is a very stylish Tug style narrow boat. She is very well presented and a credit to her owners. She was built by Coulter Boatbuilders who have a reputation for quality. She was fitted out by Mark Garlic who is also well known for his high standards, one by one fit outs. Echo has a good size tug deck which has twin berths beneath. The saloon is a bright and airy space thanks to the lights colours used. There is a Firefox wood burner located prior to the galley for those cosy winter days.
The galley is lovely. It benefits from oak block worktops and tile splash backs and fitted with a Stove DIT500 drop in cooker, 4 burners, oven, grill, 12v fridge, twin round sinks with mixer tap, work surface and storage. This leads on to the This leads on to shower room. This is fitted with a good size shower cubical, cassette toilet, round hand basin with storage and hot and cold water. This is a well laid out room and is bright and airy. This then leads on to the heart of the boat, the engine room. The Gardener 4L2 is beautifully presented and is like a piece of industrial artwork. She is clean and well-polished. There is a separate engine room hand basin and storage.
You then move on to the aft cabin which has the traditional drop down berths with storage above and under the stb side single berth. The cabin is beautifully painted in the traditional style. You then step up on to the aft deck.
Early viewing is highly recommended.
The Gardener 4L2 is reported to have been used during the Dunkirk evacuation making no less than 18 runs. It was restored in 2005.
