Birchwood – 370 Commando for sale
11.28 m/37 ft
We are proud to offer for sale this beautiful and very well kept example of a Birchwood 370 Commando ‘Elysium’. She is a British built piece of art – the build and finish quality of a Birchwood boat leaves the clear majority of imported boats in the shadows. Built 1999 and first commissioned 2000 for her original owner she is a testament to quality British craftsmanship. She is fitted with twin Volvo Penta KAD 43DPs which are very frugal – making her inexpensive to enjoy with approximately 800 hours each and this boat is still being occasionally used by the vendors. The most recent service for the engines and drives was September 2016. We are informed by the vendors that they are the third owners from new and that they are holding the VAT paid invoice and full title documents. The vendors have had pre-sale checks done to the boat which included a boat survey (not hull) and an oil sample check – both of which will be available to the purchasers. The boat was recently lifted to have new antifouling and anodes in September 2016. Specification includes: Recovered cockpit upholstery Brand new canopy beginning of 2017 Recent Flexi-teak synthetic teak decking on bathing platform Raymarine C30 plotter Shipmate RS8400 VHF Radio Recent hull and topsides polish Recent engine and stern drive services Engine hours approximately 800 each Sleeping for 4 in two cabins Shower room on port side Heads starboard side with a manual toilet Calorifier Refrigerator SMEV Oven 4 burner hob Full paperwork (to be verified by us) She has been meticulously maintained throughout her life. The owner has extensively updated and refitted her this year with all the mattress’s having been recovered, all new upholstery in the cockpit which is a gorgeous two tone grey “Silvertex” fabric (not cheap vinyl), new custom steering wheel to name but a few items attended too. A full set of new covers fitted beginning 2017, they have been fabricated in grey to compliment the interior, whilst the existing covers were are serviceable, aesthetically they do let the boat down a little. Flexi teak decking was recently fitted to the bathing platform, the hull and topsides recently polished, as well as full engine servicing – new belts etc., full stern drive service including full rebuilds, a complete set of new propellers, seals, bearings etc. She is literally turn key ready for her new owner. The Commando 370 is a deceptively spacious yacht all round, she has a huge cockpit, triple helm seat with a double seat to the side, the rear surround seating is comfortable for 6 adults and with the unique twin table arrangement offers great flexibility when socialising. The cockpit also benefits from a cockpit fridge, sink and food prep area as well as courtesy lighting at deck level. The side deck access is great – the side decks are quite wide and getting in and out of the boat is easier and safer due to the many grab rails on the rear of the boat. A permanent step on the port side gives the best access to the side deck. On the starboard side is the cockpit seating but the access is still good including the grab rails. She has a very large owners cabin and a second twin cabin for guests or family. The master cabin has both a “Jack and Jill” toilet on the starboard side and separate “Jack and Jill” shower room port side. There is storage in abundance in the wardrobe, drawers and cabinets. The second cabin has a hand basin, masses of storage and a full length mirror as well as an insert to turn the singles into a double bed. ‘Elysium’ is a joy to helm and a very comfortable cruiser for those looking to indulge in quality. The owner is a very motivated seller. This boat is not with us in Northney Marina but is in a local marina.
