Provisional Membership of Associated Yacht Brokers as AYB BROKER or AYB PARTNER is earned simply by joining any one of over 60 groups in the Yachts Classifieds network and posting a yacht for sale. This was explained when each new member joined the group and Facebook presented the rules. In the next stage, The Provisional Member is subjected to a thorough forensic examination online to ensure that he or she is worhty of AYB Membership. Most fail at this stage and are banned from AYB and from the Yachts Classifieds platform. The worthy provisional members are then accepted as accredited provisional members and included in the AYB Directory. They still do not have a password to gain access to private members pages and have no certificate of membership. The Accredited provisional “apprentice” then has a period of time at the discretion of the Association, to apply for full membership. When that time is up, AYB will require a decision to apply for full membership or leave AYB and the Yachts Classifieds platform. If a member fails to apply for full membership at this request, they will then be removed from AYB and Yachts Classifieds, along with their listings. It's not neccessary to join Yachts Classifieds to apply to AYB, but it's a popular route.
